Clarence A. Hodgkins, age 75, died Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Alden Estates Nursing Home in Jefferson.
In keeping with Clarence’s wishes, he will be cremated and buried in Fall River Cemetery.
Clarence Allen Hodgkins was born on January 31, 1948 in Sparta, Wisconsin to the late Fayette and Beulah (nee Johnson) Hodgkins. On October 5, 1968, he was united in marriage with Janet Lange in Fall River, Wisconsin. He was a member of the Labor Union in Madison, Local 464, for over 50 years. Clarence served on the Fall River Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He had a generous heart and was known to volunteer his time grilling brats and burgers at many different community events. Clarence loved to deer hunt and fish and he always seemed to be out cutting wood.
Survivors include his granddaughter, Alexandra Hodgkins; a great grandson, Jax Ford; two brothers, Patrick (Linda) Hodgkins of Markesan and Darrell Hodgkins of Montello; a sister, Sharyl Meenen of Columbus; his friend and former wife, Deborah Hodgkins of Ft. Atkinson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet; his son, Raymond; four brothers, Charles, Larry, Francis, and Andrew; five sisters, Elverna, Janice, Karen, Christine, and Lori.
The family would like to thank the staff at Alden Estates for the love and care they gave to Clarence.
