Clifford Roger Jaehnke

Cliff “Bootsy” Jaehnke, age 66, of Reeseville, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at St. Mary”s Hospital in Madison.

Visitation will be at the United Church of Christ in Reeseville on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at church on Friday, beginning at 6:00 PM. Pastor John Burgbacher will officiate. A luncheon will served at the Reeseville Community Center immediately following the service.

Clifford Roger Jaehnke was born on May 1, 1943 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Clifford and Mildred (Soldner) Jaehnke. On May 16, 1964, he was united in marriage with Patricia A. Meyers at the United Church of Christ in Reeseville. Cliff worked at Wisconsin Brick and Block in Madison for 34 years. He also worked at the Wisconsin Department of Correction in Waupun for five years before retiring. Cliff”s real passion in life was hunting; from ducks to deer to coyotes, he hunted a wide variety of animals and he also enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed working in the yard and tinkering in the garage. After he became a grandpa, he loved spending time with the grandkids.

Survivors include his wife, Trish Jaehnke of Reeseville; two children, Greg (JoAnne) Jaehnke of Reeseville and Tara (Tom) Portman of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Alyssa Jaehnke and Cole and Nolan Portman; four brothers and sisters, Bonnie (David) Rennhack of Lowell, Renee (Gary) Wahl of Reeseville, Doug (Denise) Jaehnke of Columbus, and Alton (Eleanor) Soldner of Reeseville; his sister-in-law, Darlene Jaehnke of Nashville, IN; his brother-in-law, Dale (Carol) Meyers of Merrill; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis Jaehnke.
