I am sorry to hear of the passing of Butch. I was his brother-in-law through his first wife. I will always remember the good times we had in Virginia Beach. We frequently went to the beach and passed the time playing foosball. That was probably the summer of 1977. I never saw him after that, but I''m happy to see from all of the pictures on this site that he had a big loving family. Sincerely, Mark Bader.

I was very shocked and sorry to find out about the passing of Clyde. He was a very close friend of mine and worked with my family for years..Kelm Painting and Crane Svc. I Loved running into him while doing errands because although we were both busy and going off into different directions, he always took the time to ask how things were doing with me and my family. I know he will be smiling in heaven as he was always smiling here on earth. My heart goes out to his family for their loss. I moved to Kansas a year ago and was not aware he was sick. Please accept my condolences at this time and sincere heartfelt loss of a dear friend. Audrey Pollock-Mundy

I am so sorry that Butch will no longer be here to share himself and his smile with his family and friends. But when sadness sets in remember and remind yourselves that he is not sad- he is experiencing the ultimate happiness in eternity with God. To Rhonda and his children make him proud as you carry on without him. To Linda, Dale, Sandy, Debi, June and Tina- I know that you are struggling now to accept and find peace with Butch being gone. I will keep each of you in my prayers.

My prayers go out to each one of you guys. May each of you find strength from the Lord to see you through this time in your life. In the last few days, so many childhood memories have flooded through my head, each of them a little bittersweet. I will treasure those memories as you will treasure your memories. I''m so sorry for your loss. I work at Shopko Optical, one of my first days working there, Clyde was one of my patients. He was such a nice man and after hearing his story about his courageous battle, it made my heart melt. You know a patient makes a difference in your life when you see 20 patients a day, and there is only one who you know by name! He was a great man! I''m so sorry for your loss!!! My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Clyde Burden!! Megan

Everyone, I am so very sorry for your loss of a brother, father, uncle, and friend. Although we never met I''ve heard stories from way back when to the present and know that this family is missing someone very special right now. I think he''d be happy to know that so many people loved and supported him. "Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy." My condolences to the rest of the Burden family
