To Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss. You and Doug helped show this young man that to stay positive was important, and it showed on how he treated others. He went from a really good kid to a kind young man. He always worked hard and took on responsibility well. I feel that he touched many people in a truly positive manner, for that you should be very proud. RIP Cody, you and your Family will be in my thoughts during this difficult time.
Cody was a police officer in my neighborhood. He was always professional, kind, and helpful in performing his duties. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they cope with this tragic loss.
To the Laughran and Hunter Families, So sorry to hear of Cody's passing. I graduated with and knew Doug as we both lived in Junction City, but did not know Cody. However, from all the condolences it sounds like he was a very well liked young man. Please know both families that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Cody.
I worked with Cody at UW Hospital for awhile. He was one of those people you could tell who was coming from down the hallway. Always had jokes and some kind of sneaky look on his face like he was up to something! Our team trusted him like no other to always have our backs. He will sincerely be missed and we are all in shock back in Madison. My condolences to the family.
I worked with Cody and was so shocked to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful guy with a lot of ambition. Sincerest condolences

Cody was a fellow police officer in neighboring Mount Rainier, Maryland, and one heck of a nice guy. His death comes way too soon and he will be greatly missed. Our prayers go out to his family and loved ones. (From one of his friends at the Hyattsville City Police Department)
