Dale Breitkreutz, age 59, and wife, Joyce Breitkreutz, age 61, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, in Horicon.

The visitation for both will be at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Their funeral service will follow at the church on Monday at 1:00 PM. Burial will be Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.

Dale Kenneth Breitkreutz was born on September 12, 1950 to Vernon and Anita (Kirchoff) Breitkreutz, in Hustisford, WI. The former, Joyce Sherill Gruenewaldt was born on June 29, 1948 to Willard and Jeanette (Whitty) Gruenewaldt. Dale and Joyce were united in marriage on April 5, 1967, in Dubuque, IA. Dale worked at Mayville Engineering for 35 plus years as a truck driver. Joyce worked numerous jobs in a cheese factory. Both enjoyed spending weekends at their cabin, and time with their grandchildren, friends, and family. They were loved by many and will be sadly missed.

They are survived by their son, Steven (girlfriend, Jennifer Frederick) Breitkreutz, Beaver Dam, grandchildren, Christopher and Kyle Breitkreutz, Joyce”s mom, Jeanette Gruenewaldt, Mayville, Dale”s brothers, Dennis (Alice), David (Donna), Doyle, and Danny (Caren) Breitkreutz, Joyce”s sister and brothers, Diane, Robert (Karen) and David Gruenewaldt, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. They were preceded in death by Dale”s parents and Joyce”s father.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Dale and Joyce Breitkreutz”s name to St. Stephen Horicon Food Pantry Building Fund, 505 N. Palmatory St., Horicon, WI, 53032.

Joyce, we had so many laughs together while working at Widmers Cheese Cellars during the Christmas season these past 2 years, bagging endless blocks of cheese and stuffing gift boxes to reach the ceilings...good times, yes, and that''s what we''ll remember, the good times and the laughs. And catching up on brother Dave (hi Dave), the stories you told me visiting him in Arizona and how much you loved it there. For right now, the pain and sadness for your family left behind here is unbearable but we know smiles and laughs will slowly return as they remember the good times as well.
