Dale Matthew Hoffman, age 72, of LeRoy passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy with Rev. Fr. Nathaniel Miniatt presiding. A visitation for Dale will be held at church on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow the service at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in LeRoy.
Dale was born the son of Norbert and Florence (nee Bauer) Hoffman on February 15, 1953, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He was a 1971 graduate of Mayville High School. Dale was a faithful member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.
Dale was employed and later retired from Seneca Foods in May of 2008. Dale was a lifetime member of the Mayville Gun Club as well as the Horicon Marsh Bowmen’s Club.
Dale enjoyed being outdoors especially when he was doing yard work. He took great pride in caring for his yard and was meticulous in everything he did. Dale loved spending time with his family and looked forward to the monthly “Dale Dinners”. Dale passed away doing what he loved.
Dale is survived by his siblings: Sally (Warren) Duerbeck, Judy Perrizo; and brother-in-law: Joe Kundinger. He is further survived by his special friend Katie and will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister Judy; his brother and sister-in-law Neal (Arlyne) Hoffman; his sister and brother-in-law Georgene (Gordon) Schill; his sister Jane Kundinger; and his brother-in-law Joe Perrizo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dale’s memory may be directed to St. Andrew’s Church Restoration Fund.

I was shocked to see that Dale passed and I'm so sorry. I got to know him through my cousin, Dawn Sklener-Feeney. My aunt was Delores Sklener, and her brother was GorI'mdie Schill. I used to live in Mayville before I was married last year and saw him here and there. He was so much fun. I get in the area periodically and will miss him. I'm glad my husband got to meet him before I moved. Comfort and blessings to you.

Dale set a high bar example of how to live well and die what I'd call a peaceful death. We all are sad to lose this one-of-a-kind man, a good friend to everyone; he was a buddy, he was funny, he was humble and honest, he was a mentor and to top all of that, he prepared mighty good fish fries! His good traits go on and on. He was the best friend and most pleasant man I have ever met; he never said an unkind word about anyone, he was fun and interesting to be with and I thought he made the world a better place by simply being in it.
