I was shocked to see that Dale passed and I'm so sorry. I got to know him through my cousin, Dawn Sklener-Feeney. My aunt was Delores Sklener, and her brother was GorI'mdie Schill. I used to live in Mayville before I was married last year and saw him here and there. He was so much fun. I get in the area periodically and will miss him. I'm glad my husband got to meet him before I moved. Comfort and blessings to you.

Norma "Sally" (Hoffman) Duerbeck left a message on July 6, 2025:

Judy, Mary Jo and family, Joey and family, David, Lisa and family, Gary, Liz and family, Terri, David and Chelsea,

Dale set a high bar example of how to live well and die what I'd call a peaceful death. We all are sad to lose this one-of-a-kind man, a good friend to everyone; he was a buddy, he was funny, he was humble and honest, he was a mentor and to top all of that, he prepared mighty good fish fries! His good traits go on and on. He was the best friend and most pleasant man I have ever met; he never said an unkind word about anyone, he was fun and interesting to be with and I thought he made the world a better place by simply being in it. His goodness will live on in all our memories. Sally, Warren and family

I’m so sorry to the family and friends of Dale. Of which he had so many! He was a wonderful neighbor and I enjoyed our chats about lawn care and fishing. Rest in Peace Dale until we meet again.
