Dale W. Drabek, age 66, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 9:30 until 11:00. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Dale William was born on October 19, 1957, in Janesville, Wisconsin to William and Lorraine (Johnson) Drabek. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1975. Dale married Jean Quiring on August 30, 1986, at First Ev. Lutheran Church. He worked as a prototype maker for Ross and Viola Galbreath of Rumar Manufacturing. After suffering a stroke, Dale furthered his education at Moraine Park Technical College at the same time as his daughter, Renee.
Dale was a long term friend of Bill W., and he gave back to the recovery community by working at the Blandine House in Fond du Lac as a House Supervisor. Dale was the treasurer and a chairperson for the Alano Club in Beaver Dam. He spent the last 17 years of his sobriety helping others.
Dale was a talented handyman and enjoyed hunting. He had fun being a part of the push truck racing crew with his father-in-law and brothers-in-law at Beaver Dam Raceway and the Dodge County Fairgrounds. Dale loved following his son-in-law Jesse Janisch’s professional motorcycle racing career. In his down time, he liked playing solitaire, going for rides in the country and spending time with his family.
Dale is survived by his wife, Jean Drabek of Beaver Dam; daughter, Renee Drabek (Jesse Janisch) of Palm Coast, FL; sisters, Karen Vohs, Barbara Hill, Lynn (Jerry) Foley, and Loretta (Kenneth) Frank; mother-in-law, Charlene Quiring; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cheryl Hall, Karen Potter, Rick (Cathy) Quiring, Keith Quiring, Randy Quiring, Lori Love, and Kevin Quiring (Becki Gospodarek); best friends, Terry Johnston and Brian Reynolds; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Baby Drabek (whom Dale met in Heaven); brother, David Drabek; brothers-in-law, Cliff Vohs and Don Hill; father-in-law, Les “Digger” Quiring; and a nephew, Travis.
Memorials may be made in Dale W. Drabek’s name to the Alano Club of Beaver Dam.
