Daniel E. Weijola

Daniel E. Weijola, 75, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at his home. Visitation for Dan will take place on Friday, November 30th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. A memorial service will follow at the church at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Philip Heyer officiating. Daniel was born the son of Gunnard and Ana (Pelto) Weijola on September 20, 1943 in Michigan. He was a graduate of Houghton High School in Michigan. He was united in marriage with Marilyn Draheim. Daniel had a couple jobs throughout the years working as a linotype set-up operator, at the Target Distribution Center, and owned Dan & Sugar’s Mystic Inn which later became Dan’s Place in Beaver Dam. Dan was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He was a life long musician, and loved playing swinging country music. He was in a band “Danny’s Swingin’ Country Band” with his wife Marilyn. Dan enjoyed his daily walks, time reflecting at the lake, and time spent with family and friends. He will be missed by his sons; Dennis “Mark” (Gwen Frederick-Neuman) Neuman of Beaver Dam, Steve Neuman of Watertown, David Weijola of Beaver Dam and Jason (Toni) Weijola of Appleton, 7 grandchildren; Justin, Miranda, Matthew, Cheyanna, Caitlyn, Lily and Mack, 2 great-grandchildren; Braxton and Archer, and sister; Shirley Clark of Houghton, Michigan. He is further survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and was a friend of Bill W. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marilyn in 2014, brothers; Duke and David Weijola. The Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is serving the family.
