Darlene M. Kirchoff, 89, of Beaver Dam passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Bay Harbor Assisted Living in Beaver Dam following a longterm illness.
Darlene was born on October 8, 1934 in Beaver Dam to Ervin and Verna (Sauer) Norenberg. She was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Darlene was married to her childhood sweetheart Elmer “Bud” Kirchoff on June 4, 1955 in Beaver Dam. She was employed as a secretary for Drs. Paul Youngdale and Roger Bender and retired as a secretary for the Fox Lake Correctional Institution. Darlene was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and following their sporting events.
Darlene is survived by her son Kerry (Kathy) Kirchoff of Waupun; two daughters: Cindy Felicki of Franklin and Christine (Jeffrey) Baker of Beaver Dam; grandchildren; step-grandchildren; great grandchildren; step-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bud; brother Gene Norenberg; and step-grandsons: Marcus Kwakkel and Mike Kwakkel; and her loyal fury friend Jenny.
A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. Rev. Jim Wendt will officiate. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
