Darryl Lee Keller, age 79, of Mayville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon.
Funeral Services for Darryl will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with Rev. Traci Maass officiating. A visitation for Darryl will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Mayville American Legion Post #69 at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville.
Darryl was born on June 15, 1946, to Donna Mae Drake in Minnesota. He attended Mayville High School and later went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He served in Korea from 1963-1964 and then in Vietnam from 1965-1966. Darryl was united in marriage to Gail Spettel on December 7, 1967, at the United Methodist Church in Mayville.
Darryl was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon and the Mayville American Legion Post #69. Darryl had an unwavering love and devotion to his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. As a car enthusiast, he enjoyed attending car shows. He also liked deer hunting and going to gun shows with his brother, Dave. When they were able to, Darryl and Dave spent mornings enjoying coffee together.
Darryl is survived by his wife Gail; his daughter Nicole (Bob) Kucharski; four grandchildren: Alia Bartelt, Chase (Olivia) Bartelt, Kimberly Kucharski, and Paige Kucharski; and his brother Dave Keller. Darryl will be further remembered and deeply missed by other relatives and friends.
Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, and his children Dayna and Kimberly.
