David Lynn Keller, age 79, currently of Fond du Lac but a long-time Mayville resident, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, March 6, 2026. He is no longer suffering after his long struggles with declining health.
In honoring Dave’s wishes, no formal service will be held. A private graveside service will be held later with military honors.
Dave was born on June 15, 1946, to Alden “Red” and Donna Mae (Drake) Keller in Minnesota. Dave attended Mayville High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army. He served in Korea from 1963-1964 and then in Vietnam from 1965-1966. On September 3, 1966, Dave was united in marriage to Carol Maas Kreuziger.
Dave worked for many years as a machine operator at MEC in Mayville and other area factories. He enjoyed watching sports, old westerns and war movies and taking occasional trips to casinos to play the slots. In his earlier years, camping with the family at Lake Arrowhead Campground in Montello was something he always looked forward to. The family had a permanent campsite there for many years.
Dave is survived by his children: Paula (Dale) Kreuziger Schultz and Corey (Bridgette) Keller of Fond du Lac; grandchildren: Josh (Abby) Korb of Madison, Casey (Craig) Antonioni of Lomira, Collin Schultz, and Alyssa (Kyle) Beck of Eden; one great-grandson Miles and another great-grandchild, Baby Korb, on the way. Dave is deeply missed and further survived by other dear relatives and friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Carol in 2015; and his twin brother Darryl in 2025.
