Dean C. Cook, III

Dean C. Cook, III, age 66, of Fox Lake, died on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:50. The funeral service will follow on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Mike Tess officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon, following the service.

Dean Charles Cook was born on August 14, 1956 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, to Dean Jr. and Ruth (Genrich) Cook. He was a carpenter that specialized in installing acoustical ceilings for many years until his retirement. Dean was united in marriage with Sue Riese on March 18, 1978 in Horicon. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He shared this passion with his family and looked forward to deer hunting each year with his son and granddaughter. Dean’s greatest joy in life was his family and every moment spent with them, he considered a blessing. This weekend Dean would have participated in the Fox Lake Fish Tales Fisheree. He would prepare all week to find a good spot for his granddaughters to catch some fish. His family enjoyed this event yearly with him.

Dean is survived by his wife, Sue of Fox Lake; son, Jason (Jessica) Cook of Menasha; daughter, Christal (Cody) Bruesch of Waupun; grandchildren, Cadence and Keirstyn Cook and Harlow and Haley Bruesch; sister, Lois Cook; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ken Riese, Debbie Sauer, Sandi Poretz, and Mike (Jacci) Riese; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
