Deanna M. Butler

Deanna Marie (Muehlbach) Butler passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at her home in Horicon, Wisconsin.

Deanna was born in Goshen, Indiana to Donald and Dolores Muehlbach. She attended and graduated from Horicon High School, Class of 1978. Deanna was united in marriage to Robert Butler in Las Vegas in a beautiful ceremony. She was dedicated to her previous work as a secretary for Chrysler in Beaver Dam.

Over the years, Deanna enjoyed bowling and golfing and following sports with her husband. Her family remembers her as being joyful her entire life. She loved animals, particularly her many cats. Her positive energy and optimism will be remembered, and her family will always cherish the time they spent together.

Deanna is survived by her loving husband, Robert; her mother and father-in-law: Eugene and Sally Butler; her siblings: CAPT Donald Muehlbach Jr., Ph.D., Dennis Muehlbach (DeAnne), David (Cora) Muehlbach, and Doris (Muehlbach) Thompson; siblings-in-law: Sally Sue (Phil) Salzman, Kathy (George) Ekker, Barbara (Dean) Dehnert, Ann (Tim) Grabarz, Margaret (Pete) Peterson, Matthew (Susan) Butler, Pat Butler, and Brian Brennecke. Deanna is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loving friends.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law: John Butler; and sister-in-law: Monica Brennecke.

A Celebration of Deanna’s life will take place on a later date.

Deanna will be remembered for her wonderful smile and bubbly personality. My deepest condolences to Bob and her family. She will be missed.

Our thoughts, Deanna was a gentle, kind human who always had a smile and “hello”. I was just going through my recipe book tonight to make a casserole and there was a recipe card, written in her hand writing for baked fish. I spent a moment in prayer thanking God for her existence. our thoughts and condolences are with her family, especially Robert.

Deanna will be missed by many. Our deepest sympathies to Robert and families.

Deanna is a person, even though I haven’t seen her since we graduated high school in 1978, who will always bring a smile to my face (and now, a tear) when I remember her. She is a joyful and gentle soul. She’s already missed. How ironic that my most fond memory is walking her home from school in the rain. No rain coats. No umbrella. We were a couple of drown rats. It’s a memory to cherish.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I will miss visitng with Deanna at Kwik Trip where we would exchange small talk and a few laughs! Deanna and her sister Doris were my childhood friends growing up on Juneau St. in Horicon. We sure had fun sledding down their backyard hill during the winter season!

I will always remember delivering Deanna's mail, she always had a smile and was fun to talk to. So sorry for your loss.

Our hearts go out to you in your time of need. Please know that others feel your loss and are thinking of you now. She was such a good-hearted person, and the world will be a less interesting place without her in it. Bless you.
