Dennis D. Sandley

Dennis Dean Sandley, beloved husband, father and friend, left this world in the early hours of July, 26, 2026. He was surrounded by his loving family.

The visitation for Dennis will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. with Celebrant Larry Bartruff officiating.

Dennis was born in Madison, Wisconsin on September 11, 1953 to Ted and Dona (Ferron) Sandley. He was married to Kara Key on December 15, 2001.

In his early years, he was a farmer, construction worker, and a mechanic. He was employed at John Deere Horicon Works for 29 years. He retired in 2009. Most of all he was a jack of all trades. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. Dennis had a love for the outdoors, especially pheasant hunting, deer hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could at the cabin in Holcombe, Wisconsin. Upon retirement, Dennis was more willing to travel. He visited many national parks. His most memorable trip was to Hawaii in 2016.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Kara; children, David (Jennifer) Sandley of Charleston, SC, Shana (Chad) Haase of Beaver Dam; step-mother, Hildegard Key of Burlington; sisters, Charlene (James) Geiger of Spencer, Lisa (Mike) Rohrbach of Burlington, Susan Castillo of Sacramento, CA; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darryl Sandley; son, Douglas Sandley; in-laws, Willard and Alvira Key; other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the SSM Cancer Center in Fond du Lac and SSM Hospice, especially Pam and Kim, for their compassion and support.
