Dennis was born the son of Erhard and Erna (Bergemann) Kirchoff on April 9, 1943, in Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Hustisford High School. Dennis was united in marriage to Kay Lehman on October 3, 1964, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford. After Kay’s passing, Dennis was later united in marriage to Sharon Fredrick on August 11, 1979, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lebanon, Wisconsin.
Dennis had a love for the land and took great pride in farming it in the Tn of Hubbard. He was a farmer through and through. Many memories were made on the farm with his children that they will cherish forever. Dennis enjoyed listening to polka music and could be found in the summer at the Iron Ridge Picnic listening and dancing to the bands. Anyone that knew Dennis knew he loved to talk. He had the gift of gab and would strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He also loved a good bargain. The love Dennis had for his family is his legacy that will live on through future generations.
Dennis is survived by his loving children: Dennis K. Kirchoff of Beaver Dam, Brenda (Kevin) Yunto of Fox Lake, Michael (Melissa) Kirchoff of Oshkosh, DuWayne (fiancée Gerrie Schmidt) Kirchoff of Watertown, Michele (fiancé Tracy Peltier) Kirchoff of Horicon, Tyrone (fiancée Jennifer Doughty) Kirchoff of Iron Ridge, and Kendy Kapelush of Horicon; brother, Loren (Carleen) Kirchoff of Hustisford; sister, Valerie (Dennis) Schlender of Mt. Horeb; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Kay; second wife, Sharon; and his grandson, Joe.
