Dianne K. Miescke, 55, of Burnett passed away on Monday, July 27, 2009, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac after a courageous battle with cancer.
Services for Dianne will be held on Friday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Mark A. Wenzel officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and on Friday, July 31 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon. A luncheon will be served following the burial at the church.
Dianne was born the daughter of Fred and Leona (Harke) Schmidt on Jan. 22, 1954, in Beaver Dam. She was a 1972 graduate of Mayville High School. On June 28, 1974, she was married to Gerald Miescke in Juneau.
She was a longtime employee of Larson’s Restaurant. Dianne was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church. She sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school for over 20 years. She had also been a Girl Scout leader for over 15 years. Dianne enjoyed gardening and loved her cats.
Dianne is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jerry Miescke, Burnett; her daughters, Melissa (Josh) Bartsch, Beaver Dam, Laura (fiance Kyle Frake) Miescke, Beaver Dam and Amanda Miescke, Beaver Dam; her grandchildren, Traiton, Zander, Olivia and Emily; her father, Fred (Delores) Schmidt, Mayville; sister, Barb (Jon) Stradtman; brothers, James (Chris) Schmidt, John (Carol) Schmidt and Steve Schmidt; her sister-in-law, Nancy (Tony) Sellnow; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Schmidt; a son, Scott Miescke and mother and father-in-law, William and Maxine Miescke.
