My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to you John and Mary. Many many many years ago I used to babysit the 2 of you! I was taking accordion lessons at the time and would always “bug” your Dad for copies of his songs! Last night on the back porch was a favorite at the time! He will be missed by many!
I was privileged to grow up un Burnett as my parents owned Burnett Hardware on Main Street and lived down the block from the Peachey family. My sister Shirleen and I babysat for John and Mary in the 60's as well. Imagine drifting off to sleep listening to The Don Peachey BAND playing from across the street! You will always be a wonderful memory Don, RIP. I BET YOU HAVE A BAND WHIPPED TOGETHER UP THERE SHORTLY!
Don: Thank-you for making this life a bit nicer through your music, I'm glad our paths had crossed. Positive energies to those you leave behind. (And we'll do our best to make sure that horsey keeps its tail up. :) )
Don was a special guy! His music is a welcome reminder of home and family fun times, inspiration for my love of polkas! I am so fortunate to have known him as a music man long time school mate of my Dad, Bob., kind of a family legend! Play on Don! We'll miss you here❤️

My deepest condolences to your family. Don is now playing the accordion and being a bandleader with the angels for God.
My sympathy to Don’s whole family. “To remain in hearts and memories of those left behind is not to die.”
Watching the video brought back many wonderful memories of all the dances I attended growing up inthe Burnett area and I wanted to get up and dance. It also brought back memories of being a farmer’s daughter and riding along to The Burnett Mill with my dad or grandma to get feed ground for our cows, pigs and chickens and being able to get. 5cent bottle of Coca-Cola out of machine while we waited for the feed to be ground. Memories are a treasure, cherish them,🙏🦋🙏
Our deepest sympathy to Don's family and friends! So many memories of growing up in Burnett when I was a kid and dancing to Don's band for so many years. Mike and I met on Christmas night 1971 when Don was playing at what was then Nonn's Resort Long Lake. Fifty some years later Don still teased us that he brought us together! Play that accordion in that big Heavenly band along with all the other musicians that have gone before us.🙏🪗🎶
My heartfelt condolences to the Peachey family & friends. Don was a close friend & loved by so many. It was an honor to have shared the walk of life with him.

We will never forget the dances we attended across the midwest over the past 65 or so years. Our first date in June of 1963 was attending a Don Peachy orchestra dance at the Mayville Dance Hall . I will definitely miss him. He brought me laughter and joy and made me feel cared about. I will miss him telling me stories and then saying “you didn’t ask but now you know”. He was definitely the strength of this little town. I admired him for many things. I was lucky to watch him play in person. At least once. Though many times on the computer. Yes, Don, you definitely made a difference and it was a joy to know you. You will be missed.
