Services: Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, April 17, at 1 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville, Wisconsin.
Visitation: Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville, Wisconsin.
Donald P. Pilsner, 75, of N6149 St. Helena Road, Horicon, town of Oak Grove, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at Hospice Care Inc., in Fitchburg.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 17, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mayville. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, April 17, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Tom Biersack will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Horicon American Legion Post 157.
Donald was born on June 29, 1933, in Browns Corner, the son of Roland H. and Frances (Okon) Pilsner
On Oct. 22, 1955, he was united in marriage to Connie Oechsner at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mayville.
Don was a hard working farmer, who along with his wife, Connie, raised and perfected Pilsner’s Black Popcorn. He also worked at Mayville Die & Tool Co. for 40 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Horicon, and former member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Mayville; a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, and a member of Horicon American Legion Post 157. Fishing, hunting, bowling, camping and traveling were among some of Don’s favorite pastimes. Most of all Don treasured time spend with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Connie, of Horicon; children Marie L. (Greg) Northup, LaCrosse; Mark G. (Jenny) Pilsner, Horicon; grandchildren, Nathan Donald Northrup, Olivia Lynn Pilsner, Nicholas John Pilsner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alfred, Roland Jr. and Gordon.
