Dorothy A. Eastway

Dorothy Ann Eastway, age 91, of Mayville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Mayville.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation for Dorothy will be held at church on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:30 p.m.

Dorothy was born the daughter of Richard and Sophie (Hlasny) Donovan on February 20, 1934, in Milwaukee. She was a graduate of Messmer High School in Milwaukee.

On August 23, 1991, Dorothy was united in marriage to Robert Eastway in Jackson at Heidl’s. Dorothy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville and enjoyed the fellowship with her church family.

Dorothy was a longtime amateur radio (ham radio) operator. She belonged to the Young Ladies Radio League as well as the Rock River Radio Club. She is best known by her call letters of K9BBL.

Dorothy was a loyal Notre Dame football enthusiast who attended many memorable games in South Bend. On one occasion she even ran the field.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Bob Eastway; her children: Debbie (Cliff) Unertl, Colleen (Jay) Fredrick, and Scott (Julie) Moore; her stepdaughters: Deborah (Greg) Dahlstrom, Jackie (Tim) Sheteron, and Denise (Bill) James Dorothy is further survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her son Charles Moore; her stepdaughter Joan Farley; her stepson Glenn Eastway; and her brother and sister-in-law Donald and Grace Donovan.
