Duane Delmar Schuelke, age 85, of Mayville, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa.
A Celebration of Duane’s life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with Rev. Traci Maass officiating. A visitation for Duane will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
Duane was born on May 27, 1939, to Frederick and Lucille (nee Knaup) Schuelke in Big Falls, Wisconsin.
Duane enjoyed tinkering on small engines and going rummaging at garage sales. He felt at peace in nature and in addition to raising birds, he enjoyed fishing. Duane took great pride in gardening and growing flowers. He also loved to cheer on the Milwaukee Brewers.
Duane is survived by his life partner of 40 years Louise Wisinski; children: Ronald (Maureen) Schuelke, Cheryl Schuelke, Dennis Schuelke, Terry (Julie) Kamke, and Tyler Schuelke; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; his siblings: Yvonne Guenther, Arlene Giessel, Virginia Burgett, Kathleen Lustig, and Carsen Elwing. Duane is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law Janis Schuelke; and brothers-in-law: Leonard Guenther, O’Neil Giessel, Michael Lustig, and Richard Elwing.
