Edna L. Pieper, 97, of Charleston House, Beaver Dam, and formerly of 130 Charlton St., Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at UW Hospitals, Madison.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Philip Heyer will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton, Dodge County. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at the church.
Edna was born on Aug. 8, 1911, in the town of Trenton, Dodge County, the daughter of Ernest and Martha (Brunn) Witt. She was married to Roland A. Pieper on Oct. 12, 1935.
Edna was employed with the former Weyenberg Shoe Factory, Beaver Dam. She was an active member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, and a former Ladies Aid member. She also enjoyed playing Sheepshead.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, one sister-in-law, Mary Witt, Waupun; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2001; three sisters, Dorothy, Alvina and Erna, and one brother, Marvin.
