Edward “Eddie” Henry Feucht, age 75, of Mayville, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, August 22, 2025.
A Celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories and memories. A Mass in his name will be offered on Monday, September 1, at 8:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Church in Lomira (Leroy), WI. No formal visitation will be held.
Eddie was born on May 11, 1950, to Anton and Katherine (Kral) Feucht, on the family farm in the Town of Lomira. He dedicated the first half of his life to farming, carrying forward his family’s deep connection to the land. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1968 and later spent many years working for Waas Boring and Cable, where he eventually retired. A modest man, Eddie never boasted about his talents, though his skill in directional boring was well known and respected.
From an early age, Eddie had a deep love for the outdoors, a passion he shared with his children, grandchildren, relatives, and many friends. Nearly all of his travels out of state were for hunting or fishing, and in his later years, he came to treasure the peace of time spent in nature with God and his sons, even more than the thrill of the catch.
Eddie found joy in tending the earth, cultivating large gardens that reflected both his patience and care. He also had a curious eye for nature’s hidden treasures, collecting rocks of every shape and size, always admiring the uniqueness and beauty of each one.
Those who knew Eddie will remember his quiet strength, quick wit, and his ability to find joy in life’s simplest moments. Above all, he was a proud father and grandfather who cherished time with his children and adored creating memories with his three grandsons. His family was his greatest source of pride and happiness.
Eddie is survived by his children, Eric Feucht, Sarah Spaulding, and Michael Feucht; and his grandsons, Alexander, Richard, and Edward. He is further survived by his siblings Tony (Mary) Feucht, Ruth (Jerry) Gassner, Patricia (Stan) Waas, JoAnn Janz, and Kathy (Lyle) Beistle, along with many nieces, nephews, other dear relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Katherine; and his sisters, Liz Garriety, Judy Feucht, and Audrey Feucht. Eddie is now reunited with one of his favorite hunting buddies, Uncle Heine.
Eddie will be remembered for his love of the land, his deep appreciation of nature’s beauty, and most of all, for the boundless love he had for his family.
