Elaine E. McMahon, age 87, of Iron Ridge, formerly of Country Club Hills, IL, died Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Visitation for Elaine will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday, beginning at 12:30 PM. Inurnment will be in First Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Alsip, IL

The former Elaine E. Treichel was born on November 18, 1920 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Edwin and Helen (Boettcher) Treichel. On July 11, 1953, she was united in marriage with John J. McMahon in Milwaukee. Elaine was a long-time resident of Chicago area and moved to the Horicon area in 2004.

Survivors include her husband, John J. McMahon of Lynchburg, VA, five children, Richard (Donnalee) Grady of Iron Ridge, Sharon (John) Tierny of Jensen Beach, FL, Keith Grady of Midlothion, IL, Jerryle Bennett of Midlothion, IL and Michael (Bonnie) Grady of Mokena, IL, her brother, Dale Treichel of Brookfield, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Elaine McMahon”s name to Alzheimer”s Association or the American Heart Association.

I played golf with Marv and years back, bowled with him and against him. Bowled in the National A.B.C. tourney in Detroit and had a blast with him and Betty. I'll miss visiting with him at the barber shop.
