Eleanor S. Stankiewcz

Eleanor L. Stankiewcz, age 78, formerly of Horicon, died on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Remembrance Home in Beaver Dam.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday, Feb 14, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass, at 11:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at Church with the Fr. Michael Petrie officiating. Burial will be in St. Malachy Cemetery in Horicon.
The former Eleanor Lavina Bessette was born on November 24, 1928 in Deer Creek, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ambrose and Lavina (Templar) Bessette. On October 18, 1947, she was united in marriage to John Stankiewcz in Horicon, Wisconsin. Eleanor worked at Midland Insurance Company in Juneau for many years. She was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon.
Survivors include her two daughters, Susan (Fred) Dassler of Beaver Dam and Jill (Bob) Schumacher of Beaver Dam; her son, Tom Stankiewcz of West Allis; her four grandchildren, Nicole (Andy) Krezinski of Beaver Dam, Nathan Dassler of Beaver Dam, Staci (Blake) White of Verona and Robin (Lisa) Schumacher of East Troy; her great grandchildren, Natalie and Ethan Krezinski, Caden and Beckett White and Treyton Schumacher; her two sisters; Sylvia Kreger of Horicon and Carol (Larry) Beyer of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother Kenneth Bassette.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Eleanor Stankiewcz”s name to the Alzheimer”s Association.
The Murray Funeral Home of Horicon is serving the family.
