Emily June Loper (nee Dennard) age 84, of Mayville passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Mayville.

In accordance with Emily’s wishes, no formal services will be held.

Emily was born the daughter of James and Emmitt (Brannen) Dennard on November 7, 1939 in Unadilla, Georgia. She had worked in real estate.

Emily is survived by her children- Trey Thomas of Middleburg, FL., Michael Thomas of Riviera, TX., and Leslie Loper of Panama City, FL. Her sister Jimmilu Leverette of Dadeville, AL. Further survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, on great great grandson, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Joann Raspberry and Rose Speight.

My condolences to Emily's family.
I was privileged to be considered to be a friend of Emily's while she lived in Wisconsin. I met her through the Meals on Wheels program and continued to visit her weekly till her passing. Her southern upbringing and history were very interesting and entertaining. She was a real southern belle, very dignified and proper and elegant. Her smiles and sweetness will be missed by all who knew her. May the Lord bless you with eternal peace and joy Miss Emily.
