Dear Darlene, Nook, and Diane ~~ It was a sad day on December 13, 2008, when your Mom and our sister left us when she was called Home. We all miss her so much. She was a wonderful person and the many, many memories we have of all the times we spent with her will remain in our hearts forever. We were so happy to have had our last two visits with her in October reminiscing with her about the old days - she always liked to tell us about her childhood days which were so interesting and helped us to learn more about our family in its early years. During our years in the military when we came home to visit family and friends, your Mom and Dad opened their home to us, we all enjoyed staying with them as they made us part of their family and had lots of good times. She was my oldest sister who I always looked up to, she could solve any problem at any time. Our comfort in her leaving us is that she is now in the arms of your Dad, and their son, Joe, with her own Mother and Dad, and the other family siblings which must make her happy again and free from the pain she has suffered. Our love to each of you and your families, Tony and Jean

Linda (Den Dekker) Soule left a message on December 18, 2008:

Dear Darlene, Diane and Nooky: I send my prayers of comfort to each of you. Aunt Ethel was one of the most beautiful human beings I''ve ever had the pleasure of knowing and loving. She will remain close in my heart. She taught me alot during my younger days; I drink my coffee with cream and sugar, because that is how she prepared my first cup of coffee. Now and then, I buy a 6-pack of TAB, because Aunt Ethel told me when I was 16, "It''s for us girls who want to watch our figgers". She had a huge heart with so much love, you couldn''t help but feel special when she was around. We will all mourn her loss, but we all have our special moments with her to sustain our grieving. My love to your entire family. Linda
