Evelyn J. Cuff, age 85, died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Golden Living Center of Beaver Dam.

Friends and family may call at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Friday, July 13, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at church on Friday, beginning at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dr. Mark Molldrem will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

The former Evelyn Jane Masche was born on October 9, 1921 in Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late Edward and Cybil (Spooner) Masche. In 1942, she was united in marriage with Lawrence Matthews and together they had four children. He preceded Evelyn in death in 1966. In 1977, she was united in marriage with Buehl Cuff in Beaver Dam. Evelyn was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.

Survivors include her husband, Buehl Cuff of Beaver Dam, four children, Eugene (Shirley) Matthews of Beaver Dam, Carolyn (James) Michal of Olympia, Washington, Catherine (Michael) Sherry of Tacoma, Washington, and John (Anita) Matthews of Escondida, California, a step son, Robert (Donna) Meitzel of West Bend, 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, her brother, Joseph (Cookie) Masche of Beaver Dam, a brother-in-law, William Lindner of Hartland, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, five brothers, Edward, Clarence, John, Gerhardt, and Francis Masche, two sisters, Shirley Schimmel and Margaret Lindner, and twin sisters, Mary and Alice in infancy.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Evelyn J. Cuff”s name to First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.

The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center for their loving care throughout the years.
