Genevieve Marie Gilmore

Genevieve M. Gilmore, age 89, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at her home in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Fr. John Schreiter officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary”s Catholic Cemetery in Neillsville, Wisconsin.

The former Genevieve Marie Gilmore was born on November 19, 1919 to Nicholas and Katherine (Prock) Linster in Neillsville. On October 2, 1946 she was united in marriage with George Gilmore. She and her husband made their home in Hustisford where they owned and operated the Lake Hotel for 22 years. In 1972, they moved to Beaver Dam. Genevieve was a member St. Peter”s Catholic Church, now St. Katharine Drexel Parish, and she was a member of A.A.R.P.

Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Maureen Bender, Columbus, three grandchildren, Simon Bender, Andrea (Michael) Norris, and Timothy Bender, four great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George in 1976, and two sons in infancy.
