Gerald (Jerry) Bartosch passed away at St. Agnes Hospital on Sunday, January 7; 2024 at the age of 77 while surrounded by family after a short illness.
Jerry was born on April 29, 1946, to John and Leona (Sovell) Bartosch in Beaver Dam. He married Christine Schuster on December 1, 1973. Together they raised two daughters, Rebecca, and Victoria.
Jerry attended schools in Horicon. He worked at Maysteel Corporation in Mayville for many years until he retired.
Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Packer games as well as Badger Football games, and going on casino trips.
He is survived by his wife, Chris of 50 years, 2 daughters, Rebecca (Robert) Schatz of Waupun and Victoria (Robert) Miller of West Bend. He was proud be called “Grandpa” by Elizabeth (Alex) Schrader, Kimberly Schatz, Jennifer Schatz, Melissa Fry (special friend Jordan Spainhour), Annabelle Miller (special friend Kaiden Kemnitz), Kendrick Miller (special friend Sadie Bustamante) and Karissa (Clinton) Fennewald. Great Grandchildren Samuel, Harlan, Phoebe-Jean, Lakelynn, Brantley and soon to arrive Maddy.
Jerry was also survived by Sister-in-laws Nancy (Albert) Salzman, Carol (Kent) Beecher, Margaret Brindley and Brother-in-law Anthony (Barbarba) Schuster. Along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Leona Bartosch, 2 brothers, John and Gene, In-laws Frank and Marie Schuster and brother-in-law James Brindley.
To honor Jerry’s request, there will be no visitation. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
