Haleigh Margaret Coulter, age 23, of Horicon passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
Haleigh was born on September 2, 1998 in Madison, Wisconsin to Dennis and Diane (Buerger) Coulter. She graduated from Horicon High School in 2016. Haleigh was a loving daughter, devoted sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She loved babysitting and being around children as it was her greatest joy. Haleigh was excited to be a godmother for her first nephew. She loved to camp and swim and be with her friends and family. Haleigh lit up any room she walked into. She was loving, loyal and was admired for her ability to lift people’s spirits. She was very caring and loved helping others as she had a huge heart while remaining true to herself.
Haleigh is survived by her parents- Ed and Diane and Dennis (Laurie) Coulter; her sisters Hannah (Lukas) Trollan, Hope Coulter (Zach Kline), Misti (Nate) Payton; her brothers Nathaniel and Dusty Coulter and grandfather James Buerger. Her favorite Aunt Kimmy. As well as, all her other aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends including her best friend, Justine Delores.
She was preceded in death by her sister Courtney Coulter, grandparents William and Kathyrn Schultz, and Ronald and Janet Coulter.
Visitation for Haleigh will be held at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 4 p.m. with Father Tom Biersack officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Martin’s Cemetery, Ashford, WI at a later date.

Haleigh and I only interacted a handful of times. We facetimed a couple of times when I had called my sister, Mellisa, usually while she was working. We would ramble off into our days, our lives, or our own personal adventures we decided to hike on. I could tell she was fighting her demons, as we all are. But she smiled. She continuously laughed. She was a queen of her story and that is what I will remember has. A fighter, a proud women, a women with no bounds to give up on herself. She may not be here with us today or tomorrow. But she will be with us in the memories we carry in our hearts. Then one day, when it’s our turn, we will see her again. Her smile, her laugh, her presence. But for now, goodbye and thank you for the memories inside my heart.
