Harlin A. Moldenhauer, 91, of Iron Ridge, died on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his family.
Friends may call on Monday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Iron Ridge. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the church. The Rev. Larry Mose will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Iron Ridge.
Harlin was born on Sept. 3, 1918, in Iron Ridge, the son of William and Alma (Westphal) Moldenhauer. He was married to Luvillis M. Bliese on Oct. 19, 1940, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Waukesha.
Harlin together with his family farmed in the town of Herman. He was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Iron Ridge. He was a member of St. Matthew School board for six years. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
Survivors include his wife, Luvillis; children, Allen (Suzanne) Moldenhauer, Iron Ridge, Bonnie (Willis) Kummerow, Markesan, Laurie (Merlin) Heinecke, Iron Ridge, and Beth (Dennis) Shelburne, West Virginia; grandchildren, Brian Moldenhauer, Steven (Brenda) Moldenhauer, Gina (Nick) Trigg, Sara (Jason) Boeck, Ryan Kummerow, Rebecca (Tim) Hoffmann, David Kummerow, Jenna Heinecke, and Jordon Heinecke; great-grandchildren, Felicia and Mason Moldenhauer, Larissa and Gavin Moldenhauer, Paige and Madison Boeck, and Cohen and Blake Hoffmann; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Renora Falkenstein; three brothers, Gilbert, Lorenz and Ervin, and one grandson, Dan.
