Harold E. Umland, 85, of Beaver Dam passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Crossroads Care Center in Fond du Lac.
Harold was born on September 27, 1938 in Waupun to William and Genevieve (Davies) Umland. He served his country in the U.S. Army for four years. He was employed with General Asphalt in Beaver Dam for many years. Harry enjoyed taking long drives, breakfast with friends and trips to casinos. He enjoyed going out to eat at area supper clubs. Harry will be remembered for the jokes and the laughter he brought to many.
Harry is survived by his three children: Rob Umland, Jamie (Nicole) Umland, and Stacy (Jamie) Wittnebel all of Beaver Dam; eight grandchildren: Ryan Umland, Rylee Umland, Nick Krezinski, Jace Umland, Makinlee Umland, Autumn (Nate) Sell, Gavin Wittnebel, and Mason Wittnebel; great grandchildren: Carson and Paislee; his longtime companion Janice Frank of Baraboo; as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother in infancy Robert Umland; sister in infancy Mary Umland; and his great granddaughter Lillie.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Memorial Park in Fox Lake at a later date.
