Hazel M. Erdmann, 94 years, of Beaver Dam passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Mark Jensen officiating. Visitation for Hazel will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Interment will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in the township of Emmet, Watertown, Wisconsin.
Hazel Martha was born the daughter of Fred and Martha (Brumm) Miller on April 28, 1914 in Fort Atkinson. She was married to Henry A. Erdmann on October 1, 1931 in Rockford, IL.
Hazel had been employed at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau for many years. She was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam and was also a member of the Retirees of the church. Hazel enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved dancing and music. She especially enjoyed listening to WBEV and also enjoyed listening to religious music in the evenings. She was also a loyal fan of Fall River Basketball.
Hazel is survived by her children: Henry (Sharon Lehmann) Erdmann of Beaver Dam, Bonnie Berndt of Beaver Dam, Mable (Arnold) Oelke of Fall River, Arlene (David) Weinberger of Madison, Judith (DuWayne) Hatzinger of Fall River and James (Tina) Erdmann of Beaver Dam; son-in-law, Richard Firary of Beaver Dam; 32 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry, son, Russell, daughter, Mildren, son-in-law, Clifford Berndt, two brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be directed to First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
Grannie will be sadly missed by all.
