Helen L. Mickelson, age 87, of Ephraim, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.
Helen Lucinda Mickelson was born on March 8, 1921 in Ephraim, Wisconsin to the late Albin and Hazel (Johnson) Ohman. She attended area schools and graduated from high school in Door County. In June 1942, Helen was united in marriage with Wallace Mickelson in Door County.
Survivors include her son, Paul (Jane) Mickelson of Neosho, two grandchildren, Amanda (Thomas Pastijn) Mickelson of Wauwatosa and Nicolai (Jessica Durbin) Mickelson of Milwaukee, a great grandson, Maximillian Pastijn, two sisters, Emilie Franklin of Kearny, Arizona and
Carole (Russell) Sunstrom of Fish Creek, nieces and nephews Debbie Clements of Mesa, Arizona, Kim Longerquist of Mesa, Arizona, Pam (Mike), Dennis (Marla) Sunstrom of Sussex, Dale (Cindy) Sunstrom of Muskego, and Kari (Mark) Pudlo of Sturgeon Bay, other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Lucille Logerquist, two brothers-in-law, Clyde Logerquist and Robert Franklin, and two nephews, Wendall “Pudge” Logerquist and Mike Franklin.
