It was the Haase family Christmas get together at Howards' home several years ago on the same year our Aunt Bernice turned 95. Dianne and I were home visiting that year and we decided to attend. During the party I sat next to Howard and we conversed. At some point he advised me never to completely draw a permanent line of separation on someone you may have had an argument or disagreement with. That with time and chance another relationship or business adventure may present itself with them. In short his advice was not to harbor resentments. He went on to say that there were times this happened to him but when an opportunity presented itself with those people, and because he didn't harbor a resentful attitude toward them, their relationship rekindled. To this day I'm very glad I went to that Haase get together. Turns out, that was very valuable advice.
On behalf of the Badger Honor Flight Board and all our volunteers, we extend our deepest condolences to you all, the family of Howard Haase. We are forever thankful for his service to our great country. What an honor it was to take him on his “Trip of a Lifetime”. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Howard was a wonderful guy. He was my grandparents and uncles milkhauler for several years. He was always a joke ster. He definitely will be missed by all.
God's blessings for lifelong neighbor.
