Jacob was born October 5, 1947, in Landshut Germany to Kosta Sr. and Anna (Stankovic) Jovanovich. Kosta and Anna immigrated to America in 1950 with their 5 living children. They arrived at Ellis Island NY and eventually settled in Wisconsin. Upon graduation from West Division High School, he met the love of his life, Donna Schulz. They wed in 1968 and had 2 children. April 20 they would be celebrating 57 years of marriage.
Jacob was employed at Briggs and Stratton for 31 years in the foundry division. He retired at a young age from Briggs and Stratton but kept busy with other full-time employment and his shoe repair business, Quality Shoe Repair. He had a passion for travel and toured many states on his Harley with his wife and friends. As he got older, he traveled in his motorhome and camped with his children and grandchildren. Although he loved fast cars, motorcycles, and traveling, his favorite role was being a “Bumpa” to his grandchildren. He will be missed immensely, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who love him.
