Jacquelyn Mae Kohn-Born

Jacquelyn Mae Kohn-Born, passed away peacefully at Froedert West Bend Hospital on August 9, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on September 30, 1981, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Jacquelyn was a beacon of strength and resilience throughout her life, facing challenges with grace and an unwavering spirit.

Jackie was the cherished daughter of James and Marilyn (Rennhack) Kohn. Her mother, Marilyn, preceded her in death, leaving behind a daughter whose determination and kindness reflected the values instilled in her from a young age. Jackie’s journey took her through the halls of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Engineering. This academic accomplishment was just the beginning of a promising career as a senior design engineer at Kunkel Engineering Group in Beaver Dam, a role she embraced with passion and dedication.

In her personal life, Jacquelyn found joy and fulfillment in her marriage to Jeffrey Born on September 12, 2015. In marrying Jeff, she not only gained a loving partner but also embraced his three children, becoming a devoted stepmother to Madeline, Aimee, and Christopher. She poured her love into Jeff’s children, nurturing them with the same affection as if they were her own. Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with shared memories and unwavering support for one another.

Throughout her life, Jacquelyn fought bravely against cancer, a battle that marked her years but never defined her spirit. Her courage and resilience inspired those around her, and she faced each day with a smile, reminding her family of the beauty that can be found even in the hardest of times. Jacquelyn’s journey was not without its challenges, yet her ability to create joy and warmth in her home was a testament to her strength and character.

Jackie leaves behind her beloved husband, Jeff; his children, Madeline, Aimee, and Christopher; her father, James Kohn; siblings, Jon Kohn, Dan (Becca) Roth, Makayla (Tom) Petrick, Megan (Tyler) Cornell, and Tina (Gene) Roth; parents-in-law, Ricky and June Born; many other relatives and friends; She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn and grandparents.

A celebration of Jacquelyn’s life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the American Legion in Beaver Dam. Friends and family are invited to come together, share memories, and honor the remarkable woman that Jackie was.
