James A. Miller, age 73, died Friday, January 5, 2024 at Unity Point Health Meriter Hospital in Madison.
Visitation for Jim will be at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at church on Tuesday beginning at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Will Arnold officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
James Arthur Miller was born on August 24, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Clarence and Anne (Froh) Miller. He attended grade school at St. Williams in Waukesha. After graduating from Divine Savior High School in East Troy, Jim attended UW Platteville and Epworth College in Iowa. He worked for Wisconsin Kenworth in Madison for 35 years, retiring as Assistant Parts Manager in 2014. Jim was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Choir and had previously sung with the Beaver Dam Area Oratorial.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Reif-Miller of Beaver Dam; five siblings, Michael (Kathy) Miller of Raleigh, NC, Mary Ann Cera of Waukesha, Jeanne (Dewey) Coerper of Onalaska, Linda (Jerry) Congemi of Waukesha, and Lenny (Sheri) Miller of Waukesha; his Bearded Collie, Maggie; 18 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and several pets.
If desired, memorials may be made in James Miller’s name to the Dodge County Humane Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
