James Sinclair Raymond passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Crossroads Care Center in Mayville, Wisconsin. A private family committal service will take place at a later date.
Jim was born on August 1, 1949, to Donald and Frances (Thiel) Raymond in Beaver Dam. He was raised by his foster parents Hugo and Erna Bauer. Jim’s principal employer was Green Valley Enterprises in Beaver Dam.
Jim’s family and friends held a very special place in his heart. He always looked forward to their visits and phone calls. He knew a lot about cars and enjoyed talking about them when the opportunity arose. Jim loved good food (especially a great steak!) and being outdoors. He took particular pleasure in celebrating birthdays and Christmas with loved ones. Whether on the phone or in person, these celebrations were a source of great anticipation that he relished throughout the year.
Jim is survived by his sister Ellen (Roger) Thornton, his cousins Sue Morgan and Sandy Kuphal and their families, his nephew Michael Bauer and wife Marie, along with many other nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his biological parents, his foster parents, two brothers: Gene and an infant brother who died at birth, and three beloved foster brothers: Norman, Tom, and Fred Bauer.
The family wishes to thank Golden Years Assisted Living, Crossroads Care Center, Watertown Regional Medical Center, and Rainbow Hospice for their care of Jim in his final years.
