James W. Chase, age 39, formerly of Columbus, died on Sunday, May 5, 2024, in Milwaukee.
The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. the funeral service will follow on Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Sandra Schieble officiating.
James William was born on March 23, 1985 to William and Nancy (Behl) Chase. His childhood was spent in Columbus, then, in adulthood, he lived in several surrounding cities, with his most recent being Milwaukee. James worked in construction most of his life, mainly specializing in concrete finishing. He was a sports fanatic and supported all of the local teams. Jimmy looked forward to going up north where he spent much of his time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking the snowmobiles around the countryside. It wasn’t always easy for Jim to express it, but he would want his girls to know that they were the most important thing to him.
James is survived by his daughters, Emma Berndt and Ally Chase of Beaver Dam; parents, William Chase (Linda Peterson) of Beaver Dam and Nancy (Kevin) Weisensel of Columbus; brother, Jared Chase; step brother, Christopher (Stephanie) Peterson; aunts and uncle, Tom (Donna) Chase, Debbie Forseth, Joann Chase, and Chris Behl; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncles, Dave Behl and Michael Chase; and aunt, Phyllis Chase Rake.

I know it's late but I do cherish every moment from sledding to painting those were my favorite times. Even when I thought you were my aunt's landlord. I wish you didn't have to go but everything happens for a reason. I wish you could have known before you left that we miss soooooo much and we love.
