With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life of Jane Marie (Froh) Lord, 78, of Beaver Dam. She was joyfully welcomed into the Lord’s loving embrace on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at her home.
Born on February 25, 1947, in Milwaukee to Milo and Lucille (Caughlin) Froh, Jane lived a life defined by faith, compassion, and service. After earning her associate degree in nursing from Cardinal Stritch University, she devoted her career to caring for others at Beaver Dam Community Hospital, serving in critical care hospice and homecare nursing. Her gentle hands and kind heart brought comfort to countless patients and families.
Jane’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, she earned an Advanced Religious Education Certificate and became an associate of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND). Her ministry touched lives in profound ways—whether as a Stephen Minister through Grace Presbyterian Church, the first parish nurse at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, or through her work with the CLC group and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Her compassion extended to those behind prison walls, ministering to inmates with dignity and grace. Jane’s life was a living testament to Christ’s love, and her legacy of service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Jane’s heart was also deeply rooted in family and community. She shared a loving marriage with her high school sweetheart, John “Jack” Salzman, and treasured time with her children and grandchildren. She brought joy to others through her creativity—singing at weddings in her younger years, performing and volunteering with the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre, and exploring her artistic passions in jewelry-making, painting, and the arts. Her laughter, warmth, and unwavering support made every gathering brighter.
Jane is survived by her beloved children: Kelly (John) Dries of Belgium, WI; Kristie (Jerrold) Lunde of Beaver Dam; Joseph (Susan) Lord II of Fox Lake; stepchildren Brad Salzman and Jacquelyn Salzman; grandchildren Hailey (Julian) Broderick, Mariah Lord, Maria Dries, Nadia Dries, Mylana Lunde, Zoe Lord, Charles Lunde, and Alexander Lord; great-grandson Felix Broderick; siblings Judith (Harold) Kirchoff, Jerome Froh, Jeffrey (Marilyn) Froh, James (Cindy) Froh, Jill (Patrick) Nadler, Janet (Jon) Runstrom, and June (Cary) Allen; sisters-in-law Jeanice Froh, Judith Moede, Jann Salzman, and Laurie Salzman; brother-in-law Patrick Monahan; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. She is also survived by her former husband and father of her children, Joseph Lord I.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack; son Justin Lord; brothers Joseph, John “Jack,” and Justin Froh; sister Joan Monahan; mother-in-law MaryAnn Salzman; sisters-in-law: Rochelle Froh, Diane Froh, and Kathy Salzman; and brothers-in-law: Timothy Hubacher, Gerald Moede, and other cherished family members. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and joy that will never be forgotten.
A visitation will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Will Arnold. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre or the ministries of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, continuing Jane’s legacy of faith and service.
