Janet Mae Lewandowski

July 14, 1922 - October 25, 2010

Janet M. Lewandowski, age 88, of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Following the visitation, there will be a procession to Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake where the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM. Fr. Michael L. Wild will officiate. Burial will be at Annunciation Cemetery, Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Janet Mae Nowak was born on July 14, 1922 in Juneau, Wisconsin to Albert and Anna (Schrap) Nowak. On August 23, 1941, she was united in marriage with Carl Lewandowski in Juneau. Janet lived in Beaver Dam, West Bend, and Juneau areas until moving to a Fox Lake lake home for many years. Janet enjoyed fishing with her husband and family at their lake home and cooking them a good meal. Janet also enjoyed her trips with her daughters to different casinos. She worked for Midland Mutual Insurance Co. while her husband was in WWII. Janet also worked at West Bend Co. in the mailroom and most recently she worked as a certified nursing assistant at Continental Manor in Randolph for 17 years retiring at age 72. Janet was a member of Annunciation Parish in Fox Lake.

Survivors are her daughters, Mary Ann (DuWayne) Kuenzi of Beaver Dam, Patricia (Gerald) Marx of Kewaskum, grandchildren, Laurie (Jeremy) Agema of Wausau, Beth (Jon) Schabert of Cleveland, MN, Kim (Danielle) Marx of West Bend, and James (fiancAC.e, Rhonda Carver) Marx of Allenton, great grandchildren, Alex and Ian Agema, Justin and Trevor Schabert, Devin Carver and Addison Marie Marx will join the grandsons in February 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Hugar (Mary) Nowak.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hillside Manor for the care and compassion that they have shown for Janet.
