Janice L. Frey, age 68, lost her long battle with cancer on Monday, August 11, 2008.
A memorial gathering for Janice will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A memorial service will follow on Thursday at the funeral home at 3:00 PM with Rev. Philip Heyer officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Janice Lou was born on September 7, 1939, to Lester E. and Dorothy V. (Uebel) Binder in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. She was married to John W. Frey on May 7, 1977 in Tampa, Florida. Janice began her education at Lincoln School and Randolph High School. She had lived in Florida and Arizona for a number of years, and moved back to Beaver Dam in 2004, to be nearer to family, when the cancer began taking its toll. She belonged to St. Stephen”s Ev. Lutheran Church, in Beaver Dam, for many years.
Janice is survived by her husband John Frey of Beaver Dam, one son, Richard Gensmer of Fox Lake, and four daughters, Shirley Durkish of Texas, Brenda (Wade) Ray of Beaver Dam, Patricia (Shane) Norman of Arizona, and Jean (Marvin) Stadler of Texas. She is further survived by 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, two brothers, Rodney Binder of Fox Lake and Lester (Judy Jansen) Binder of Beaver Dam, five sisters, Dyvonne Loker of Pembine, Darlene Posthumus, Connie (Judy) Binder, Bettie (Joseph) Mallon, and Donna (Ronnie) Nehmer all of Beaver Dam, five sisters-in-law, Lavern, June, Delores, Gloria, and Viola, four brothers-in-law, Walley, Irvin, Clarence, and William, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her parents preceded her in death, as well as her parents-in-law, Clarence and Lorraine (Ganz) Frey, a son, Steven Meyer, brothers-in-law, Howard Loker, John Posthumus, James Hyne, Dale Peters, and Elmer Frey.
