Jerome E. “Jerry” Spankowski, 88, formerly of Milwaukee and Hartland passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.
Jerome was born the son of Edward and Clara (Hojnacki) Spankowski on February 12, 1934 in Milwaukee. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was stationed in Germany. Jerry worked as a machinist for Evinrude Motors in Milwaukee for 52 years.
Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, camping and driving his Harley. He was an excellent grandfather.
Jerry is survived by his children: Matthew Spankowski of Milwaukee, Karen Couillard (Christian Umhoefer) of Whitefish Bay, and Eva Spankowski of Hartland; four grandchildren: Dr. Allison Couillard, Elsa Couillard, Madeline and Lizzie Spankowski; his former wife Lois Spankowski of Hartland; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Howard, Norman, and Leroy.
A graveside service is currently being planned at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
