Joan V. Watry, 84, a resident of Sylvan Crossings in Beaver Dam and formerly of Neshkoro, Burnett and West Bend passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Rainbow Hospice Care in Johnson Creek.
A visitation for Joan will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, 215 Main Street, Allenton, Wisconsin. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Russell L. Arnett as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Nenno, Wisconsin.
Joan was born on July 10, 1938 the daughter of Frank Jr. and Theckla (Zingsheim) Peter. She was united in marriage with Roland G. Watry.
Joan was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Parish in Neshkoro, Wisconsin. She loved “Lake Life” in Neshkoro area for many years. In her free time, Joan could be found tending her flowers or playing with her many dogs throughout the years. Joan enjoyed getting together with family and friends, sharing many laughs, and loving the outdoors. Joan worked at the West Bend Company for over 27 years. Joan’s hospitality will be missed by many.
Joan is survived by her sons: Allen (Jane) Watry of Waupun, Mark Watry of Burnett and Charles (Bobbie) Watry of Burnett and son in law Chris Smoody of North Fond du Lac. Seven grandchildren: Andrea Gartmann, Zack Watry, Heather Watry (Jon Eilbes), Callie Yeoman(Andrew), Dryden Watry(Kayla Pitzlin), Erin Watry (Adam Jacobs) and Hannah Watry-Smoody and five great grandchildren. Her sisters: Judy (Alvin) Jentsch of West Bend and Patty(Andy) Janous of Campbellsport. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland, her daughter Charlene Smoody and her sister Laurie Boehm.
