Joanne Butterfield, age 75, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Waukesha, died Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 127 W. Maple Ave on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Memorial Mass will follow at church on Tuesday, beginning at 11:00 AM. Fr. Carlos Florez will officiate.
The former Joanne Frances Schmidt was born on August 25, 1930 in Neillsville, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Helen (Pulvermacher) Schmidt. She attended grade school in Neillsville and then went to the convent in Manitowoc where she graduated from high school and attended college. Joanne moved to Waukesha and on September 11, 1953, she was united in marriage with James R. Butterfield. Joanne worked for O”Brien Portraits, the Waukesha Freeman, and for several insurance agencies in Waukesha. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Butterfield of Beaver Dam, her daughter, Donna Rae Butterfield of Waukesha, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and eleven brothers and sisters.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Joanne Butterfield”s name to the Beaver Dam Humane Society or the Waukesha Humane Animal Welfare Society.
