Joanne K. Blank, age 88, died Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Remembrance Home in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Joanne will be at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church beginning at 12:00 noon. Fr. Will Arnold will officiate. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Joanne Kathleen Peirick was born on May 8, 1935, in Watertown, Wisconsin to William and Mary (Pitterle) Peirick. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1953. On May 5, 1956, she was united in marriage with Jerold W. Blank at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Watertown. They lived in Watertown until 1979, then Waupun until 2004, when they moved to Beaver Dam. Joanne loved music and enjoyed playing the accordion and the organ. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (Connie) of West Allis, Thomas (Carol) of Colorado, Dan (Carol) of Greenville, Deborah (Mike) Klimke of Oregon, Greg’s wife, Peggy Blank of Menasha, Marie (Eric) Fahrendorf of West Bend, Brian (Teresa) of Oshkosh, Janice (Matt) Braker of Beaver Dam, and Douglas (Stacy) of Mosinee; 28 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ellen Henry of Indiana; other relatives and friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant son, Jerold Walter, Jr.; son, Gregory; grandson, Brendan Braker; brothers and sisters, Raymond, Clarence, Marcella, Helen, Lillian, Edward, Leonard, William Jr., Norbert, and Agnes.
