Joe Wendtland, 52, of Beaver Dam and formerly of Tacoma, WA passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2013 in Mt. Storm, WV.

Joe was born the son of Carl F. and Mary Ellen (Murray) Wendtland on June 7, 1961 in Beloit, WI. He served his country as a medical specialist in the U.S. Army where he served in South Korea and combat in Grenada. Joe was awarded the Army’s Good Conduct Medal. He was employed as an over the road truck driver.

Joe was a Harley enthusiast and enjoyed fishing. He was very charitable and generous- helping anyone in need. Joe was dedicated to his family and friends. He loved his children with all of his heart.

Joe is survived by his children: Joe Wendtland II of San Antonio, TX, Page Wendtland of Tacoma, WA, Mary Ellen Tucker of CA and Nolan Lawson of Tacoma, WA; seven grandchildren; his brother, Karl F. (special friend Marie Beni) of Beaver Dam; his two sisters: Kelly Jo Cooper and Jody Hicks; friends: Robert and Donna Behrmann and Olie, Lisa LaReau and the Hanefeld family; and further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
