Johanna “Jo” Haslow, age 89, of Beaver Dam, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Johanna will be at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 127 W. Maple Avenue, in Beaver Dam on Saturday, April 26, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at church on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM. Fr. John Schreiter will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The former Johanna Jeanette Klapper was born on July 16, 1918 in Marquette County, Wisconsin to the late Joseph and Mary (Mashock) Klapper. She moved to Beaver Dam in 1934 and was later united in marriage with Lester C. Haslow on January 18, 1945. Lester and Johanna owned and operated Taverns in the Beaver Dam area for over 28 years and were members of the Wisconsin Tavern League. Jo was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and the Christian Women.
Survivors included several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Johanna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1995, seven brothers and three sisters, Isadore, John, Norbert, Standish, Joseph, Steve, Ed, Marion, Regina, and Theresa.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Johanna Haslow”s name to St. Katharine Drexel Parish.
The family would like to thank the staff at both the Beaver Dam Community Hospital and at Hillside Manor, as well as Johanna”s doctors for the excellent care she received.
