John Eric Billington, age 75, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Juneau, WI. He was born on May 16, 1949, in Hustisford, WI, to the late Ellis and Marion (Uhl) Billington.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Marion Billington, his brother Jerry Billington, and his sister Jane Preston. He is survived by his brother James (Diane) Billington, his niece Dawn Billington, nephew Dan Billington, and great-nephews Robyn Young, Morgan, and Copper Billington.
John attended the Southern Wisconsin Center for Developmentally Disabled and the Kenosha Achievement Center, where he thrived and built a fulfilling life. He was an enthusiastic participant in the Special Olympics for bowling, a sport he truly loved.
John had many passions that brought him joy, including camping, bowling, and listening to music. He loved going to concerts and watching his favorite television shows, Dukes of Hazzard and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. A dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers, he never missed a chance to watch football.
John was a happy and kindhearted individual who always had a smile on his face. His warm personality and infectious laughter could light up any room. He brought joy to those around him and had a unique ability to make others smile. His presence was always known and cherished.
The family will hold a private funeral and burial at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville. Arrangements are being handled by Koepsell Funeral Home.
